Une conférence intitulée «25 ans de VIH» se tiendra du 19 au 21 mai à Paris, en France.
Les dernières recherches, tant sur le virus que cliniques, seront présentées à cette occasion. La conférence débutera par des études structurelles du virus, puis décrira les différentes approches utilisées par les cellules hôtes pour tenter de limiter sa réplication. La deuxième journée s’intéressera à l’aspect immunologique et traitera des anticorps, de la réponse des lymphocytes T et de l’immunopathogenèse.
L’unité des divers aspects sera assurée en passant en revue l’impact du polymorphisme humain sur la progression de la maladie. La dernière journée, quant à elle, traitera des problèmes posés par la réalisation d’un vaccin et la résistance aux médicaments. La rencontre se conclura par un regard sur l’évolution du sida clinique et l’impact de la maladie en Afrique et en Asie.
