Two workshops organised by the EU-funded DIADEM (’Delivering inclusive access for disabled or elderly members of the community’) project on 'Making online services accessible for older people’ will be held on 27 and 28 November in London, UK.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience how the online access for older adults can be improved using assistive technology developed by DIADEM. This new technology has been specifically designed for older adults who experience cognitive decline, such as the weakening of memory or lessening of attention.

Older adults are now spending more time online, but use web services less often and have less experience with them than younger adults. This lack of service use can put older adults at a disadvantage in terms of their abilities to live and function independently.

Participants are expected to include representatives from the older adult community, policy makers and application and service providers from the public and private sectors.
